Beyond the Black Rainbow Live Tweet Digest
#Bond_age_ has live tweeted some odd stuff. But #Bond_age_ had no idea what was in store when @tapwateralice chose Beyond the Black Rainbow for his #Bond_age_Choice selection.

This week in #Bond_age_ we bring you Agatha Christie. An odd match perhaps? #Bond_age_ and Agatha. If anyone was into #Bond_age_, it was Agatha. Really. No joke. Maybe a little bit of a joke. I’m going to ramble on here for a bit because I’ve never actually seen Death on the Nile and definitely can’t speak about it with any intelligence. I have the luxury of rambling this week because I’m sitting here on vacation and it’s absolutely f’ing pouring outside. Torrential downpour. Cats and dogs, living together kind of downpour. Yet I can still see the beach from the deck (so, yes, it’s still there) and I’ve almost read an entire book in 24 hours. I don’t mind the rain. I don’t mind the downtime. Therefore you get full on ramble mode because I have nothing specific to say Death on the Nile, other than I (and you probably) need to watch more Peter Ustinov and I’m on vacation, just not at the Nile and there’s no death. I also don’t know who chose this film for this #Bond_age_Choice. I clearly don’t know anything. (edit: Greg McCambley has just informed me that Poirot might actually be the first entry in our series of Anti-Bonds. Connections abound, people.)
Still, join us for this week’s feature presentation hosted by @GregMcCambley.
Live tweet begins Wednesday at 9pm EST. Follow #Bond_age_ hashtag. Embed will appear in this post tomorrow.
Directed by John Guillermin (King Kong ’76, Towering Inferno, The Blue Max) and starring Angela Lansbury, Bette Davis, David Niven, Maggie Smith, Mia Farrow, and Peter Ustinov… here’s the trailer for Death on the Nile.
@MisterGreggles and I double-teamed you guys last week with a podcast/live tweet combination for If Looks Could Kill. You’re all very, very welcome. You never knew how much you needed more 26yo Richard Grieco, French Teachers, Linda Hunt, Robin from Cheers and early 90’s Gabrielle Anwar in your life.
Our first #Bond_age_Choice feature, courtesy of @GregMcCambley brought out all the 80’s feels including John Travolta, the Terminator, Burger King, leotards, Ally Sheedy, the Cold War, Tab and Dabney Coleman. Twas an epic evening of pre-apocalypse. The glorious meme-filled document of that evening follows.
