#Bond_age_ : The James Bond Social Media Project was a project conceived on and for social media. A few Twitter acquaintances and I were discussing our anticipation of the new James Bond movie SKYFALL. From this conversation, @SundogLit floated the idea that I should do a review/essay series, one essay for each Bond movie. Curiosity got the better of me. How would my perception of the individual Bond films change when viewed in chronological order? What patterns would emerge in the series that I had not previously noticed? I decided to invite more people along on this journey through 50 years of Bond so I began the weekly Live Tweet segment of the project. Each week I host another Live Tweet session and from those conversations I pull ideas for my next essay and/or commentary. Thus #Bond_age_ was born.

The Annals of the Official James Bond Social Media Project
Here lies the springboard for the official project known as Of [In]human #Bond_age_: The James Bond Social Media Project. Progress is ongoing. Follow the links to the essays and live tweet digests for each Bond film (and the Bond impostors!). You’ll nice the nicely crossed out Tweet Digests. These live tweets pre-dated heavy participation and contained no more than 1 or 2 twatterers. We’ve replaced these with the “Wraparound” digests at the end of the schedule for the sake of completeness. The first and official round of the project began on December 12, 2012 with Dr. No and concluded on May 29th, 2013 with Skyfall. The Wraparound is a victory lap (more #Bond_age_ for everybody!) with the James Bond impostors scattered throughout to inject new blood into the festivities. I’ll also add the IMPOSTORS to the official list of movies for which we’ve given good #Bond_age_.
